She was so excited about her big accomplishment!

We moved at Little Bug’s pace and I am confident that is why there has been no struggle with AAR. We were able to spend 15-20 minutes 3-4 times per week on AAR. The progress Little Bug has made with her reading from Lesson 1 to Lesson 49 today has been phenomenal!

DSC02429

The lessons were absolutely perfect for Little Bug’s attention span. The lessons were engaging every single day. The games were fun. Practicing the concepts through playing with letter tiles, games, activities, readers, word cards and fluency sheets kept things interesting for Little Bug. The fluency sheets were definitely the most challenging for Little Bug and her least favorite part of AAR. However, today, as she read the last fluency sheets she did not want to use the view finder and she read two whole pages in 1 day! At the beginning of AAR it was taking us sometimes a whole week just to read the fluency sheets! Her progress has been so remarkable!

DSC02460

Little Bug requested a picture with all the word cards she can read!

DSC02432

It has been so amazing to watch Little Bug’s reading skills grow and develop. She reads books now and my goal now is to make her a bookworm! There were lessons we repeated because I felt like she didn’t totally grasp the concepts the first time and I wanted her to get a very solid reading foundation through this program. The second time through the lessons we repeated, she always improved greatly and then I knew it was time to move forward.

DSC02458

I absolutely love AAR! It is so easy to use, so fun for the student and, most importantly — IT WORKS! We will take a week break from AAR and then begin All About Reading Level 2!
