Our September Classical Conversations Field Trip was to a nature preserve. 

The park ranger talked to the kids before we headed out on the Scavenger Hunt. He was showing them an eagle. This eagle had been taken to the animal hospital but didn’t make it.

We headed out for the Scavenger Hunt.

Each child was given a clip board and paper to mark what they saw on the Scavenger Hunt.

They were looking up at some spider webs.

The park rangers showed them lots of interesting things in nature!

The girls did a good job of marking off what they saw.

Walking the trails reminded us of walking the trails when we go to the mountains.

We saw a turtle swimming in the pond.

We walked to an island and all the kids had fun running and playing together there for a while.

I was contemplating joining a Homeschool Support group, but when I found out CC has Field Trips I decided we didn’t need to join another group. CC thinks of everything! I am so thankful we get to join in on fun field trips with our CC community!
