Fall Leaves Fall {Fall, Leaves, Nature Hunt}

{Letter L, Lemons & Limes}
The last full week of September we did another week of Ready-Made Preschool Level 1 lessons! We read Fall Leaves Fall and learned about the Letter L. Sweet Pea got to use a lemon and a lime to stamp a print on her Letter L.
{Coffee Filter Leaf}
Sweet Pea used a yellow, red and orange marker to color on the leaf made from a coffee filter. Then, with the help of her big sister, she sprayed water onto the leaf. The colors bled together to make a beautiful fall leaf!
{Nature Hunt, Leaf Picture}
The girls went on a Nature Hunt. I gave them a ziplock bag and told them to collect items from nature and put them in their bags. Then, I gave them each a piece of orange cardstock paper. Like the children did in the book, Fall Leaves Fall, the girls made a picture using their leaves and other items from nature! Sweet Pea made herself with her night-nights (her blankets she sleeps with). Little Bug made the cross.
{Fall Is Coming!}
There is one tree in Grams and Gramps’ backyard that has leaves that turn colors each year and then eventually fall off. This week, there were some leaves beginning to turn to we went out to look at them and even picked a couple off the tree.
It still feels very much like summer here, but Fall is coming!
