10 Little Rubber Ducks {Numbers 1-5}

Jul 04, 2015

This past week Sweet Pea read 10 Little Rubber Ducks in Ready-Made Preschool Level 1. Her Grams did three of the four days with her because I was at Practicum! (Practicum is a homeschool conference for Classical Conversations. My mom kept Sweet Pea and Sarge while Little Bug and I attended Practicum. Little Bug went to GeoDraw Camp.) Sweet Pea and Grams would do school while Sarge took his morning nap. We love Eric Carle books and this was one we had not read before.

The focus of this week’s lessons was all about numbers 1-5. Considering Sweet Pea can count to 100 (with some help), these lessons were pretty easy for her, but she still had fun. She had a Do A Dot Number 1-5 to complete each day.

She did some with her Do A Dot markers and others with stickers.

The last day we were finished with Practicum so Little Bug wanted to do RMPK with Sweet Pea.

They had to glue the number card on the correct spot.

Sweet Pea did this activity with Grams. They learned about ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, ect) and then Grams gave Sweet Pea directions on what to do to certain ducks. (Example: Color the tail of the 3rd duck.)
