If You Give A Moose A Muffin {Letter M, Muffins}
Apr 27, 2015
{Letter of the Week}
This week we read If You Give A Moose A Muffin. We have several of the books in this series and the girls love them. We don’t have this book so I ordered from the library. I love the convenience of ordering books online and then going to pick them up when they arrive at the library near our house! Sweet Pea did Marble Painting to decorate her Letter M! She used her Do-A-Dot markers to make a “rainbow letter M”. I always love to see what she is going to want to do with her Do-A-Dot Letters.
{Muffins}
We made muffins one morning! Sweet Pea was so excited about this. When she learned we would be making muffins, she asked if Grams was coming over. I laughed because my girls know if cooking is involved, Grams is usually in on the action. I told Sweet Pea that I can actually make muffins and we got started. I let Sweet Pea do just about everything and she enjoyed herself very much! We incorporated lots of living math during this as we measured and poured in the ingredients. It made 8 muffins and we did some simple math to figure out how many muffins had been eaten and how many were left over. She took two muffins to her Daddy while he was working!
{Alphabet Basket}
Sweet Pea hasn’t wanted to do the handwriting pages I have had in her Alphabet Basket lately (which is fine) but this week she wanted to write the Letter M! First she wrote on the laminated page and then she wrote with a pencil. When she gets to the tiny ones she just scribbles over them because “they are too little”! I brought out a little alphabet sticker book and she did the M page. (That book is less than $3 on Amazon! Excellent buy! *Not an affiliate link!)
