Curious George Feeds the Animals {Letter Z, Farm/Zoo Animals}
Apr 26, 2015
{Letter of the Week}
We read Curious George Feeds the Animals. The girls have always loved Curious George! The Letter of the Week was Letter Z. Sweet Pea decorated her Letter Z with zoo animal stickers. She did her Do-A-Dot Letter Z with the Do-A-Dot markers this week. Red is declared favorite color!
{Farm/Zoo Animals, Zebra}
Sweet Pea had several cut outs of zoo animals and farm animals. She sorted them and glued them onto the correct paper. Another day she made a Handprint Zebra. Little Bug joined us with this and named her zebra “Sowzet”.
{Animal Safari}
Sweet Pea went on an Animal Safari! I taped cut outs of wild animals around the living room and told her to go find all the animals! After she found all the animals we graphed them by taping them to the wall. Then we talked about which animal she found the most of, least of and the same number. Then I asked her how many animals there were in all and she counted them all and told me 8!
{Alphabet Basket}
Sweet Pea’s favorites in the Alphabet Basket lately are the books! She absolutely loves The Measured Mom’s Little Letter Books! We read the letter book for the week multiple times throughout the week! I put our animal magnets in the basket and told her to sort them by farm animals and zoo animals on the fridge. When I saw she had put them all together I reminded her to sort them and she told me, “No, they want to all be friends and be together!” So all the zoo and farm animals lived in harmony together for the week on our fridge!
