The Littlest Owl {Letter O, Octopus, Orange, Opposites}
Feb 20, 2015
{Letter of the Week}
Our book this week was The Littlest Owl. The littlest owl had to persevere to be able to do what his three siblings could already do: fly! The theme of perseverance was perfect because that is the character trait for Little Bug’s class this month! She also enjoyed this story. The letter of the week was Letter O. For the letter craft, Sweet Pea got to make an octopus. Sweet Pea did her Do-A-Dot Letter O with dot stickers.
{Opposites, Orange, Owls}
Sweet Pea learned about opposites! She put together opposite puzzles and we played an opposite game where I would do one action (like sit down) and she had to do the opposite (stand up). We learned about the color orange. Sweet Pea looked through magazines and cut out things that are orange to glue on her paper. Little Bug wrote “orange” on the top of the paper for Sweet Pea. The last day was spent learning fun facts about owls and then making an owl puppet out of a brown paper bag!
