Summer 2014

Jul 28, 2014

I pulled all these pictures off my iPhone and thought they gave a wonderful synopsis of what we’ve been doing this summer!

This summer we have:

summer14

played with our neighbor friends, watched the train go by on the way to Grandma and Grandpa’s house, seen the horses that live next door to Grandma and Grandpa, met the mailman at the curb to receive the mail, watched Daddy play basketball at our church’s Block Party, colored, worked on fine motor skills, stopped to smell the flowers, played in the kiddie pool in the backyard, made some improvements to our homeschool room, made paper plate butterflies during ABC School, been to the mountains multiple times, played in the sprinklers, learned to ride a tricycle, made our curriculum choices for the upcoming school year and babysat Baby C.

It’s been a wonderful summer and we are looking forward to beginning our second homeschool year! (Shhh! We’ve actually already begun and this is Week 2. I am taking a slow approach with beginning school this year and our official start date is August 18th.)

Next week will be Back to School Week here on Faithfully Instructed and I am going to be sharing the following posts:

  • Our Curricula Choices for 2014-2015
  • Our Homeschool Room
  • A Day in the Life
  • Our First Day of School {7.21.14}
