Preschool Calendar Notebook {Mama’s Learning Corner}
Jul 20, 2014
I’ve seen a bunch of these available on the internet through various sources, but when I saw Mama’s Learning Corner’s Preschool Calendar Notebook, I knew it would be the perfect addition to our Morning Calendar Time to help the girls with number recognition.
I printed just the pages I needed and put them in a small folder:
This doesn’t have to do with number recognition but I thought it would be fun to have a record of this. Little Bug will write her name each month from July to the end of the school year and we can see how her handwriting improves over the year.
These pages are sort of redundant to what we do with our Calendar but I went ahead and printed them because I thought the girls might enjoy using a Dry Erase marker to fill these pages out. Concepts taught on these pages are: today, tomorrow, month, year, season, weather and feelings.
The main reason I went with this Preschool Calendar Notebook is because of these pages. Each day the girls can trace the date on the calendar page.
Every month also has a picture with all the dates of the month on it. The girls will find the date and cross it out on the page.
We probably won’t get to this every day, but I hope we can do this at least 2-3 times a week!
