Sweet Pea’s Letter of the Week was Letter Xx! We read the Little Letter X Book and A Box Can Be Many Things. Sweet Pea stamped X’s onto her Letter X. I introduced the concept of patterns to Sweet Pea. I knew this would be way over her head, but it won’t be long and she will be able to do patterns. <p align="center"> </p> <p align="center"></p> <p align="left">Our craft was making a xylophone. I made the pieces different sizes so Sweet Pea would have to put them in order from largest to smallest. She did this with no help from me. </p> <p align="left">We talked about X-rays (again, way over her head, but exposure never hurts!) and then I pulled our our skeleton and we talked about the different bones in our body! Sweet Pea pointed to the pelvic area and said, “Belly button!”.</p> <p align="left">Sweet Pea wanted to play a game one day so we played Eric Carle’s ABC Game. This is basically a matching game where the child matches the letter on the board to letter cards. It was Sweet Pea’s first time playing it and she enjoyed it.</p> <p align="center"></p> Next week is Letter Kk!
