Our Letter of the Week was Letter Ff! Sweet Pea put flower stickers on her Letter F and did her Dot Sticker F is for fox page. I don’t have any dot stickers yet, so for now she is using Little Bug’s Do-A-Dot markers. She is learning how to use these and doing a pretty good job!

We read books about fish, the farm and feet!

Sweet Pea did a Farm Match where she matched the farm animals together and then told me what sound they make.

She also had fun with a Pre-writing activity where she drew a line from the animal to the barn. She wanted to do this again later in the week. She felt so big writing with that marker on the paper!

Our craft this week was making a Fingerprint Fish. I just drew a fish on a white piece of paper. After we read the book Fidgity Fish, the girls used their fingers to paint scales onto their fish.

At the end of the week I had a Farm Sensory Bin for the girls to play in. Ours was no where near as extravagant as The Measured Mom’s, but my girls loved it anyway. They dove right in scooping and pouring the beans and farm animals into bowls. I put our Little People farm animals, other plastic farm animals we have and the Farm Match cards into a bin of beans. Little Bug had fun matching the plastic animals to the cards.

I planned activities for only 4 days of the week which leaves us room for flexibility. If we happen to be home on Fridays (the only day not planned) we just pull out something from the previous days and play with it again on Friday! This week, they wanted to play with the Farm Sensory Bin again. We also read the books again.
