Bible Curriculum for Preschool {Review}
Jan 20, 2014
For our Bible curriculum this year I purchased two Kindergarten level workbooks that I found at the Convention. These were the only purchases for our Bible curriculum.
Kindergarten Learning About God & Bible Nuggets from A to Z Activity Book
I wasn’t sure if Little Bug would be in to these books this year, but she has enjoyed the activities in these books very much. There are color pages and cut and paste pages that help reinforce the Bible story of the week. Sweet Pea even joins in on some of these. She likes to help with the cut and paste pages and I usually try to include her on those.
Once I got home from the Convention, I chose three of our Children’s Bibles to include in our Bible curriculum. The Beginner’s Bible, My First Bible and Read and Share Toddler Bible are excellent Bibles to introduce Bible stories to preschoolers. The text is simple and tells the stories in ways preschoolers can understand. The pictures help bring the words alive.
100 Bible Heros, 100 Bible Stories and 100 Ways to Know God Loves Me! (not pictured) have been excellent tools to add music to our Bible time. My girls love music and dancing and there is nothing cuter than starting my day by watching the girls dance to one of these songs.
I have nothing but good to say about The Arch series books. Both girls enjoy them. Little Bug got four of these books for Christmas to add to our collection.
The Read and Share Bible DVDs have been a great way to end our study of several of the Bible stories. Usually on Fridays, if we have the story on DVD, we enjoy watching the story together. The girls got The Jesus Storybook Bible DVDs for Christmas and I am looking forward to adding those in during the second semester.
I don’t think I could have chosen a better way to incorporate a Bible Time to our first homeschool year. All these years I’ve collected all these resources to use with my children and it was easy to just gather what I already had on hand and organize it all by story to make a Bible curriculum!
Also, there are no affiliate links in this post. I just like these products and they have all greatly enhanced Bible Time with my girls this year!
