President’s Day
Mar 07, 2013
I love these little books. They are perfect for the preschooler and Little Bug enjoys reading them.
I bought two for our President’s Day activities.
We read The Story of George Washington and Little Bug learned George Washington was our first president and that when asked if he chopped down a cherry tree he told his father, “I cannot tell a lie.”
Little Bug made a George Washington craft.
We read The Story of Abraham Lincoln and Little Bug learned that he was the 16th president, was born in a log cabin and worked to make all people free.
Little Bug built a log cabin from popcycle sticks.
Little Bug learned Abraham Lincoln is on the penny (and George Washington is on the quarter).
She made a Handprint Abe Lincoln.
Our nation has such wonderful founding fathers!
