We started February by learning all about Dental Health!

We played a Teeth Counting game. I cut out a pink oval (to make a mouth) and drew small circles all along the edge. Then Little Bug rolled a die and placed marshmellows on the circles to put teeth in the mouth! She thought that was cool.

We learned about flossing by using a big lego, play-doh, and yarn. The play-doh is the food and stuff that gets between your teeth and the yarn is floss! She saw how flossing removes the stuff between the teeth. This was a very good visual for her to learn about flossing!

We talked about food and how certain foods make our teeth sad if we eat them a lot and then don’t brush our teeth. I cut out a white tooth (healthy) and a yellow tooth (decaying) along with pictures of food and Little Bug glued them on the Happy/Sad Tooth.

Little Bug and Sweet Pea had their first dentist appointments this week!
