H week!
May 25, 2012
We started H week by writing the letter H. I drew the capital H and then on the back of the paper she wanted to write H’s. The top H I drew lines for her to trace and then she traced it herself!
Our memory verse is Honor your father and mother.
We made a Hand Tree!
We painted Little Bug’s hand and arm to make the tree trunk and branches. Then Little Bug finger painted the leaves.
We made a Hippo!
Helping Hands are Happy Hands! We made a sun with her handprints and yellow paint. While we made this, we talked about how Little Bug is a helper to Mommy, Daddy, her sister and her friends.
This didn’t turn out too good, but it was because we really needed to use a bigger sheet of paper. It is suppose to be a Handprint Rainbow. The colors are still very pretty, but it didn’t quite make a rainbow! Oh well. We still had fun making it!
Little Bug finished up “H week” at Grandma’s house.
She glued hearts on to the letter H.
She did a Hippo Color Word Match. She matched the hippo to the correct color on the page. My mom said she flew through this activity.
Then she did the Hh Do-A-Dot page. She LOVED this and it was so easy to prep. Just print the page and place it on a cookie sheet. Then, using circle magnets, Little Bug placed the magnets on the paper to make the H and h. She ran out of magnets. I will have to buy more. The ones I had were left over from my teaching days.
I imagine she was saying, “I don’t have anymore left!”
