D Week!
Apr 12, 2012
Little Bug made daisies with her handprint and fingerprints!
Then we worked on trying to learn how to write a D. Little Bug isn’t into writing very much, but I did help her trace the dotted lines I drew to make a D.
She must have been paying attention more than I thought because later that day we went outside and she got some sidewalk chalk and drew this:
It is very faint, but she drew the letter D on the driveway!! Her stick doesn’t touch the half-circle, but it’s a start. I was so proud of her and she was so proud of herself!! She had the BIGGEST smile on her face after she drew that.
Little Bug glued pieces together to make a dog!
We played with our drum and doctor’s kit!
We painted the dots on the Letter D!
Little Bug made a Dinosaur from shapes!
First, we talked about all the different shapes. Little Bug picked up the “half-circle” and said, “Look! It’s a D, Mommy!!” I hadn’t thought of that, but she saw the D anyways!
She glued all the shapes on the paper to make the dinosaur. I would ask her what shape she thought would make a good head, legs, body, etc.
Little Bug really enjoyed this activity and the prep was so easy!
Next, Little Bug got to glue things that start with D onto the letter D.
She had a dog, duck, door and dinosaur!
Then she wanted to color her D!
The last part of D week was spent at Disney!!!!
We had TONS of fun! (Disney post coming soon.)
