I think this was her first experience with Elmer’s glue. I can add that to the list of crafty things Little Bug enjoys working with!

They made a birthday cake for Grandma!

This cake was good! It was a healthier cake, too! My mom heard the recipe from the Dr. Oz show and wanted to try it for her birthday cake this year. I will post the recipe soon.

Little Bug and Gramps (as she has started calling my dad) found a caterpillar crawling on the side of the house! Gramps got a jar and they put water and a leaf in there along with the caterpillar.

The cooking and caterpillar were not “planned activities” but I love how easy it is to incorporate real life into learning!

Little Bug watched a Word World show called “Catch that C!”

DSCN5041

The WordFriends spelled the words cookie, cone and car!

We read the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We made and ate cheese crackers for lunch one day!

This was a very fun The Very Hungry Caterpillar activity!

Little Bug painted the sun, sky and grass.

With pom-poms, she made the very hungry caterpillar!

Next, Little Bug glued the sun and sun rays onto her paper. She also glued some tiny googly eyes on the caterpillar.
