B Week
Mar 09, 2012
B Week happened over the span of two weeks because of sickness.
We started with a big box of things that start with B!
I was going to let Little Bug help me go on a Scavenger Hunt through the house to collect things that start with “B”, but she wasn’t really in to that. So, later, without her help, I gathered some things and both girls had fun pulling everything out of the box and playing with it.
Our painting projects included…
…painting the letter B!
If that huge, dark green smear doesn’t look like it was made with the stroke of a paintbrush, you are correct. I turned my back for a second and turned back to see that Little Bug had taken the paper plate of paints, turned it over onto her paper, and she was rubbing the paper plate on to the B. Oh this girl. Paper plate painting? I guess that works!
We also made a bee from her handprint!
She loves doing these. I think this will be an activity we do with every letter.
And then her verse for B week was “Be kind to one another.”
We read The Three Bears and Goldilocks
Then we made Bear Paws out of biscuit dough!
We used a can of Pillsbury biscuits. Little Bug laid them on the cookie sheet.
Then she rolled pieces of the dough to make the toes.
And we put them to bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
With some butter and honey, the “bear paws” were a yummy treat for Little Bug!
We did another project that involved us painting our feet!
Little Bug thought it was cool to paint Mommy’s foot.
We needed one more little foot!
So Little Bug got to paint Sweet Pea’s foot.
We made this:
The Three Bears!!
That idea came from…me! And it was so much fun for everyone!
I have one more learning activity for B week but we haven’t done it yet. Here is where I got the idea: Buttons!
